FERRON-CALLOT

Graduated from the « arts Decoratifs of Strasbourg » in 1995 and awarded the CAPES in 1996.(teaching certificate in secondary level education ), Peggy Feron-Callot is a born and convinced artist.
In 2012, she carried out a series of photos in the kitchen of Michel Bras a stars recognized chef in his restaurant in Laguiole (Aubrac-France). Her work showing « interdependancy » between Man and Nature, as well as the very close relationship between cooking and plastic arts and ultimately the hand and the movement.
In 2010, she imagines and implements an ambitious project in her community called “interdependence”. Villagers are invited to visit her studio and to immerse their hands in a bucket of liquid plaster. The outcome will be an exhibition in the village temple of 133 plasters hands. As a witness of this event a book called “interdependence “is published in 2011.
She travels in India and south east Asia taking opportunities to sharpen her vision, eager to take pictures of hands, faces, landscapes. Studying Buddhist litterature, she finds relief for her spirit as well as enrichment for her artistic intuitions. Her pictures are sometime very enigmatic showing fusion of bodies and living matter. Her ongoing work is becoming more and more committed; denouncing food industry lobby’s practices as well as the living condition of animals bred for their meat .
In 2012, I carried out a series of photos in the kitchen of Michel Bras a stars recognized chef in his restaurant in Laguiole (Aubrac-France). Her work showing « interdependancy » between Man and Nature, as well as the very close relationship between cooking and plastic arts and ultimately the hand and the movement. His culinary work takes his inspiration in the heart of Aubrac. The gardener plants and grows his vegetables. The cook transforms and transmutes the organic matter, playing with flavors, forms, matters and colors. Michel Bras, from his harsh soil raises cooking to the level of an art in a similar way the Artist is diverting the Nature in order to better expose it.
All is by nature interdependant, and so, has no self existence. It is the « non one self ».
In this regard we can say that one is in all and all is one.
It is an encounter between the « earth-landscape » element, the Cook, the Artist, the Writter aiming at delevering an artwork to the receiving public. A reunion to create together.
